Opus Videre is Latin for ‘work to see.’
The way I see it, this blog is about working to understand (in other words, see) what is behind our politics and culture. As a teacher working with freshman college students, I am disappointed in the ability of most of our society to truly look behind what is presented to us by the media and by our politicians. We must learn to think and read critically, and then react in an appropriate manner.
We must all ‘work to see’ further, ‘work to see’ beyond.
